Lord willing, Robert and Nicole Westerveld will travel to Papua New Guinea in two months. Their flights are booked and they are looking forward to seeing everyone in the Yagwoia tribe again. They have had quite a bit of contact with the believers over the past few weeks and are happy to hear how they are walking with the Lord.
God’s Word is being taught weekly to a group of new people in the church. The Bible teacher is very enthusiastic about it. He wants to share the teaching he has received himself and it is wonderful to hear of the fellowship among the different churches. One believer and his wife had been to another village to encourage the church there with God’s Word.
In January, Robert started recording the books of Joshua, Ruth, and Ezra for the ‘Audio Bibles’, which is now almost finished. Two-thirds of the New Testament, adapted for the Iqwaye, is now complete, and he is almost halfway through adapting the New Testament for the Gwase people. Work continues for several books of the Iwalaqamalje Old Testament. They will be checking all the translation work again at the various locations in the tribe during their stay there.
Recently, Robert and Nicole enjoyed visiting churches and friends in the north and south-west of the Netherlands. Bible teaching via video calls has expanded. In addition to the weekly teaching for a believer in Kenya, there are now three locations in Asia where Robert teaches groups every week.
Thank you for your prayers.
