Unsearchable riches

Paul and Marina Briggs thank you for your prayers for the Loron people.

Three members of the Loron translation team were able to get the books of Galatians and Ephesians checked by a Bible translation consultant. They hope to do the final check on 2 Corinthians in a couple of months’ time. Praise the Lord for the slow, but steady progress in Bible translation.

It has been a thrill over the past few weeks for Paul and Marina to visit some of the growing churches, some way out in the bush and accessible only by motorcycle, to see how the Lord is changing the hearts and lives of many of the believers. Evangelism is taking place in new locations and the Lord continues to build His church among the Loron people. Pray for the continued outreach to new villages.

Several villages have asked for more help with their literacy efforts, and some new teaching locations are being considered. More materials are currently being produced and a training seminar has been planned for the end of February. Pray for Marina as she coordinates the training of literacy teachers and also as she spends around six hours daily teaching young Loron adults how to read and write.

One of the main Loron Bible teachers, along with Paul, recently completed a commentary on the book of Ephesians. They are trusting that it will be a help and encouragement to the Loron Bible teachers as they bring ‘the unsearchable riches of Christ’ (Eph 3:8) to the Loron people.
