Understanding the teaching

Logan and Kendra Teall with Laken and Liam serve among the Dem people of Asia-Pacific. Recently the people have been learning that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, IS our Deliverer, that Jesus’ name means Saviour, and that He would also be called Emmanuel, which means “God with us!” They learned that Jesus had no earthly physical father but God was His Father! They were taught that God sent HIS Son as a man to be the Deliverer. They heard the words of John the Baptist, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world!” …and much more.

There continue to be some great testimonies from people who really understand the teaching.

In the coming weeks the missionary team will continue to teach through the New Testament. Each day their Dem friends will learn more about Jesus, the Deliverer. Keep praying for open hearts and minds, for clear teaching and complete understanding. The lesson of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus will be taught soon, possibly mid-April.

Last week the weather was a bit foggy and rainy in the mornings. People do not usually go out in fog but thankfully, they turned out for the teaching.

Back in the spring of 2018, the team asked for prayer for a Dem woman and her sweet little girl. She could not produce milk and her baby seemed to be starving to death. It was heart-breaking, but so many prayed and some sent money and milk formula. Today the little girl is a sweet and healthy toddler! In addition, she has a little brother! They are so thankful for prayer that plays a huge role in bringing the Gospel to the Dem people, and even meeting their physical needs!

Pray for Logan, Kendra and family. While these past months have been very exciting and it has been so beautiful to witness God at work in Dem Land, life can be exhausting. God continues to be faithful to them and they are so thankful for that, but this past week their kids have had some bouts of sickness and both Logan and Kendra have been feeling tired. The Lord continues to give them the strength and endurance they need to make it through each day and they are thankful for that. Please pray for health for their family and their co-workers as well, as they too have a heavy schedule.
