Translation check

This week a translation check is in progress in the Mibu, Papua New Guinea. Geoff Husa  travelled with his daughter, Maddie, to conduct a long-overdue translation check on 1 & 2 Thessalonians and Revelation in the Ma language.

For those unfamiliar with this process, Geoff has already been working closely with his translation consultant, who has been reviewing the work for accuracy and clarity. After addressing all questions and potential misunderstandings, they will do one final comprehension test with native speakers. This is the last step before these books are officially recognised as Scripture!

Between answering consultant notes, handling travel logistics, etc., these past weeks have been packed! Geoff is thrilled to have Maddie with him. This trip is a special opportunity for her to reconnect with the place she grew up, process the many transitions and struggles that missionary kids experience, and also serve alongside him. As her father, he is enjoying this time together!

Thank you for your prayers for Geoff, Shannon and family who serve itinerantly from the USA. They are excited to see how God uses this trip to advance His Word among the Mibu people.
