Finally, the winter has passed and Daniel and Nicole Noort who serve with Native Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (NEFC), among the First Nations people of Canada, are grateful for the warmer weather and the warmth of the sun, which gives them a boost in energy.
They are happy to share that after many, many years Nicole has finally got her driving license. Praise the Lord! Now she and her coworker can visit women on the reserve every week.
A few weeks ago, Daniel and Nicole finished a Bible study on Revelation with their small group. Church attendance has picked up a bit. Nicole organised a short questionnaire to see what the people are looking for when it comes to Bible study. Their desire is to continue separately with the group that has been faithfully attending. They have shown more appetite for solid food. The questionnaire showed that most people wanted to learn how to pray and how to read the Bible. Daniel and Nicole could not be happier with this outcome. Now they are planning to maximize attendance by finding the best time for the people to come together.
Please pray for wisdom for Daniel and Nicole as they help meet the needs of those around them and continue to build relationships.
They are in the process of starting up a youth group again. They have permission to hold it in the school gym on a reserve. Please pray for all the preparations.
There are often people visiting Daniel in his workshop shop and Nicole is working hard to get the garden going, with Daniel’s help too. They bought a small plastic greenhouse, but it blew away every time it was a little bit windy. They are praying that they can build a solid greenhouse for next year.
God willing Daniel and Nicole will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in the summer and would like to take a holiday trip with their little camper for a few weeks. Daniel still needs to rebuild the transmission, and he would like to put in a proper sized bed, so they don’t have to sleep like sardines in a tin can.

- Wisdom in discipling and leading the church.
- Growth in trust and relationship with the men who visit Daniel at the workshop.
- Finding more quality time for each other in their marriage.
- Believers to take on more responsibility and use their gifts.
- Faithful attendance at church and the new Bible study.
