Albert and Lynne Castelijn are back in the Banwaon village in the Philippines after nine wild weeks in Australia, and the official check of John’s Gospel, is already underway.
This is the last New Testament book to be translated into the Banwaon language!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” John 1:1
Soon the Banwaon will READ this verse in their own language for the very first time.
Soon they will have the ENTIRE New Testament in their language.
Just thinking about it gives Albert and Lynne goose bumps and that familiar stinging sensation behind the eyes.
They were grateful for good weather so that the translation consultant could fly in. So much has gone into preparing for this check. Moreover, many intense hours to come in the week ahead.
Please pray with them for:
• HEALTH – for the team battling with colds, fevers and tummy bugs. Albert is still bouncing around the place feeling just fine. Lynne is still recovering from a severe kidney infection which put her in hospital for three days when in Australia.
• LOGISTICS – There have already been challenges with weather, water and electricity. Pray these things will function well.
• THE CHECK – Pray for endurance during long hours concentrating, for the Spirit’s guidance, and for a faithful, accurate, clear translation.
Thank you, always, dear friends for your love, support and encouragement.
This year Albert and Lynne celebrated 30 years in the Philippines!
It has been a long, long journey. All for the glory of God Alone. Thank you for your prayers.
