Seventy five years

In celebration of serving in Papua New Guinea for 75 years, New Tribes Mission PNG would like to invite you to pray with us for the Nakanai people who are strewn along the coast of the central north side of New Britain island. Many of them live off their gardens, but many of them also sell some sort of cash crop they’ve grown, like cacao, oil palm, or kopra, to help them buy food from town and pay for school fees each year. The people face the growing challenge of being so busy with their cash crops or jobs that they don’t have a lot of time for other things.

Religion has been around for over a century, but many Nakanai people don’t read or study what the Bible says for themselves or understand what it means. Currently, there is a New Tribes Mission church plant in the village of Kasia that has been growing and is reaching out past the borders of their own village.

Please pray for the church as they seek God’s wisdom for how to meet the needs of the local body, including new believers, as well as how to continue to reach out and bring the Good News about Jesus Christ to others, as God opens doors for them.
