Seven Sundays

For seven Sundays, Ragnar and Elizabeth Niclasen have travelled for two hours (each way) up north from where they live in the Philippines. Their desire was to teach the believers from two villages who join together each Sunday to worship, how to share the Phase I Lessons with their families and neighbours. Since there are 44 lessons they taught seven each week and then two on the last day giving time for review.

The time spent with the believers there was so encouraging. One of the men hikes three hours each way to attend the meetings. He is a strong believer and has taken his turn in sharing what they have been studying.

Ragnar taught four lessons each morning and then after lunch one of the men would review what had been taught. In the afternoon Ragnar taught three more lessons which were then reviewed the next week before going on to new lessons.

As the men got up to share what they had learnt in the previous lessons Ragnar and Elizabeth could tell that they had been paying close attention and have a desire to share this great news with others.

Each week a meal was prepared for all to enjoy in between the lessons. At the end of the service on the seventh Sunday they called Ragnar and Elizabeth to the front to thank them for spending this time with them and to pray for them and their ministry. They were then presented with a generous gift. How sweet and thoughtful of them!
