Jenny de Jong finished missionary training in North Cotes last summer. Goodbyes can be hard but she was so warmly received by everybody at home and in church in the Netherlands. She can clearly see that God has been well preparing this chapter of her life, too. Even though she misses college life and people, she is excited for what lies ahead. God has proven again and again His faithfulness.
After working for a year at a primary school and after a busy summer, which included helping at children’s camps, she has recently arrived in West Africa.
Her commissioning service took place in mid-August and she is thankful for support, in prayer, finances, encouraging words and practical help.
Jenny said farewell to her language helper in the Netherlands and during ‘open house’ at her parents’ home she was able to say goodbye to many people. She thanks the Lord that she could experience being richly blessed as a part of God’s Family!
Please pray for her first months sharing an apartment with two ladies from another culture and learning language with people from different nationalities. Pray that they will be able to communicate well!
Ask the Lord for His help and guidance for the work in Senegal/West Africa, in sharing the Good News. Pray for open hearts that are ready to receive His Word.
