Stephen, Helena and Grace had a lovely time visiting supporting friends and churches in Texas for twelve days in July. They were thankful for the warm hospitality and genuine interest shown about the work going on in Colombia. It was so encouraging for them to spend time with church ‘family’!
On their way back to Colombia, they spent six days in Mexico City and were able to attend the wedding of two of the students from the Bible school.
The wedding was lovely, and they had a precious time getting to know the couple’s families. It was also encouraging to talk with their Pastor. He was one of Stephen’s past students. The Lord took him and his wife to Mexico City where they started a Missionary College like the one where Stephen and Helena teach. They also started evangelistic Bible studies, which later turned into four churches in eight years. They had 30 students in their college last term. Praise the Lord! You never know what God is going to do through those He brings into your life!
Term has started again in Colombia and they are so thankful to the Lord for the 48 students.
Pray for Helena´s ‘Teaching Methods’ class. She enjoys teaching the missionary candidates to use illustrations, object lessons, puppets, flannel graph, etc., but it is a challenge with a class of fifteen.
Pray for Stephen as he teaches the book of Hebrews. It has been beautiful for him to see how the Lord is teaching the students about how secure they are in God’s love and grace.
Pray for Ashley, Amy, and Grace that they too would see the need that the world has of knowing God’s love and grace. Also, pray for wisdom for Stephen and Helena as they home school.
