Scripture ready for printing

After almost six months at home in the Faroe Islands Lív has returned to West Africa. She was looking forward to spending Christmas in the Faroes but things did not go as planned. In May her brother-in-law quite unexpectedly went to be with the Lord. Lív was able to bring forward her travel to attend the funeral and be a support and help to her sister.

During her time at home Lív was able to move into her new home which was a blessing. She is very grateful to have her own place now. It took quite a while and was quite stressful to get everything moved in and organised, but the Lord gave strength and provision. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and very much enjoyed all the wonderful walks in nature.

Lív was grateful for the opportunity to share about her work in West Africa at a secular women’s event in the village where she lives. Around 70 women attended, some from other villages. Pray that the Lord will use what she shared in the women’s lives.

While in Denmark visiting family, she shared about her ministry at a Faroes assembly for young students in Copenhagen. Pray that it has an impact on their lives. She also met up with friends that she had not seen for many years.

Currently Lív is staying in the capital of the country where she serves in West Africa. She will stay there for some weeks to print 2 Samuel and Judges before going back to the village, probably in December. She also wants to make the final adjustments of 1 Kings, before she sends it to the translation consultant for checking sometime early next year. She is thankful that the consultant check in April of Judges and the second half of 2 Samuel went well. Praise the Lord that their usual language helper was available to help them. He has now started a course that hopefully in the future will help him get an office job in the capital. Now they must look for a backup to help them with the consultant checks. Having to let go of such an excellent helper is difficult but they are still hoping that it will work out that from time to time he will be able to help them.

The young translator’s daughter who had some seizures has still not been able to see a specialist but over the last few months she has only had one seizure. Her parents are hopeful that she will not have any more. Please continue to pray for her and her parents. The mother is pregnant. Please pray that everything will continue to go well.
