Aaron and Amy Speitelsbach who serve among the Glarro people in Liberia are currently on home assignment in the USA. They recently came back from a road trip to Missouri visiting friends, speaking at a church, and taking part in a prayer chapel with students and staff at the Ethnos360 missionary training centre. They were greatly encouraged to hear and see numerous people pray for them and the Glarro people. When the Glarro turn to God, prayers on their behalf will have played a major part.
God also helped Aaron and Amy with a youth retreat and many of the young people were encouraged in their walk with God.
Next week, they will start their last road trip, visiting churches and friends in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. When they return from this trip, they will pack a few barrels with supplies and things that they need and take them to Atlanta for shipping to Liberia.
In the middle of May Aaron and Amy’s time on home assignment in the USA will end. They will then fly to Germany to visit churches and friends, before continuing to Liberia. Time has gone by very quickly and they are not sure if they are ready to head out. It seems to them that there will never be enough time for some things until they get to heaven, where they will never have to say goodbye again, or cut visits short.
Their coworkers, the Burkheads, who had made a trip to the village, returned safely to Monrovia. Things in the village have calmed down and now there is a court case going on about the recent deaths. The Burkheads are evaluating if they can make another visit to the village before the end of April.
Praise God:
– For the youth conference, where they had a wonderful time of fellowship and drawing close to God.
– For giving Aaron and Amy such an encouraging time during their visits in Missouri.
– That the fighting has stopped, and things have calmed down in the village.
Please pray:
– For wisdom as Aaron and Amy try to plan ahead and prepare as best as they can for their next term on the field.
– For an enjoyable time of fellowship and encouragement with others as they finish their time in the USA.
– For wisdom and direction for their co-workers, the Burkheads, regarding making more trips to the village.
Thank you for your prayers for the missionary team and the Glarro people.
