More than a week ago, Jan and Annette Wols became aware of a chance to return to Papua New Guinea. They have been working on checking, booking, filling out forms, and getting permission. It looks like they will be able fly out next week. They need to get all the special permissions and tests done to travel.
It is not easy, having to leave their loved ones without hugging them, but there are many more people having to go through similar things these days. They are grateful for the good times they had with their children and grandchildren.
Their plan is to return to the base to prepare for their co-workers to return to their works on the island. They also want to get ready for their co-workers Dave and Nancy and the Lamogai translation team, to return at the beginning of the year. Their desire is to continue on the translation of the remaining Old Testament books.
