As Alessandro and Chantal Parrillo reflect on last year, they have much to thank God for! He led them to return to Quebec and they are adjusting well to their new home and new ministry. He was with them during the many times of sickness – the most recent being pneumonia for Jolissa and, at the end of the year, appendicitis for Chantal. God faithfully met all their needs (and way beyond) and He taught and encouraged them through this season of unknowns. He also blessed them with precious times with their Canadian family.
They thank God for His help with numerous French projects this past year.

It was also during this past year that the Bible teaching began among a people group in West Africa, where Alessandro and Chantal worked. They are finally hearing the Good News! Pray that 2022 will be the year we will see the birth of a church among this people group.
A new year is now starting, and Alessandro and Chantal do not know what lies ahead, but they know that God is faithful and that He is in control! Right now, in Quebec, there are many restrictions due to the pandemic. Churches are closed, as well as schools, so the kids are doing school online. They long for life to get back to normal, but rejoice that God does not change, that He is always with them, and that He uses these challenging times to accomplish His purposes.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for them as a family as they become part of a new community and church. Pray that the kids will learn French and adjust well to their new situation.
- Pray for wisdom in this new ministry in Quebec and that many believers will become actively involved in missions, in Quebec and beyond.
- Pray for Chantal’s health, that she can better understand what is helpful and detrimental to her health.
- Pray that God will give them clear guidance as to what He wants them to do after this school year.
- Pray that God will work in the heart of the people groups in West Africa and draw them to Himself.
