This summer God richly blessed Ralf, Elli, and Mimi Schlegel by giving them precious time with their families and friends in their German homeland. Along with appointments and doctor visits, it was a joy for them to have opportunities in different churches and groups to share about what God continues to do in Dinangat, Papua New Guinea.
They deeply enjoyed spending time again with their two daughters and families, the absolute highlight was their time with their two grandchildren. They are finding the new chapter of being grandparents simply wonderful, a beautiful gift from God!
After their return to PNG in early August, their co-worker Jeremiah came from the USA for three weeks. Together they spent two very full weeks in Dinangat. They invested much time with their helpers to continue working on the Bible translation. Jeremiah worked on Luke’s Gospel and Ralf on 1 & 2 Peter. On Sundays, they both had the privilege of preaching in the church. A very special highlight was being able to hand over the completed Matthew’s Gospel to the church a moment full of gratitude and joy!
