Ready to go!

As the roots come up and they are left floating Dave and Emma are thankful that they are rooted in the Lord Jesus and that He will hold them fast in face of life’s challenges. Pray for their hearts to trust the Lord in change and uncertainty

They had a wonderful day in July at their Commissioning with guests from across the UK joining their church family for a great “send out!” Dave and Emma are thankful for their sending team who pray, give, encourage and support in practical ways

Recently Dave was able to attend a Christian Medical Fellowship Developing Health Course, which was a great time of learning, and fellowship with others who have experience of working around the world. The course covered most aspects of medicine and a number of practical topics relating to cross cultural work.

They will leave Sheffield later this month and will be settling in at the school and clinic and then doing language learning and orientation in October.

Pray for safe travel and good transition into the next phase, for Joshua to make good friends and be a good friend to others and that they can put down roots in Papua New Guinea and integrate into the team.

Dave and Emma are already starting to make plans for home assignment next summer in June and July. This will be an opportunity to reconnect with family, friends and supporting churches and to keep in touch with medicine in the UK.
