Only one solution

Daniel and Nicole Noort from the Netherlands trained at North Cotes College and have now served among the indigenous people of Canada through the Native Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (NEFC), for several years and they praise God for His faithfulness.

It is such a wonderful thing for them to see one of the believers grow in faith and trust in the Lord. It is a spiritual battle. Please keep praying.

Recently they were able to make a trip to a Native Christian Conference and reconnect a little bit with their native brothers and sisters in the Lord from NEFC.

They had some issues with their camper van on the way. The rear brakes failed and Daniel had to spend some time working on the problem, which meant they missed a few sessions of the conference. However, they were able to connect with a wonderful brethren church who helped them with fixing the brakes and in addition invited them to a BBQ at their church. There were even some brothers with Dutch roots there and they enjoyed great fellowship with them as well. God is good!

They left the conference a little early because they wanted to be back home in time for kid’s club. On the way back Daniel noticed he was coming down with a very sore throat and a bad cough. Nicole and a colleague had also had the same symptoms but they were feeling better the next day. Daniel on the other hand, was still recovering after a week. They are finally getting the rest they have needed for so long.

They heard some very sad news during the conference, a dear brother and sister in the Lord from church had lost a close relative due to an overdose. Drug taking is a big problem on the reserves.

There is only ONE solution. That is the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Once Daniel and Nicole feel recovered and rested, they will teach the next lesson in the Firm Foundations Bible study which is about the Israelites meeting God at Mount Sinai. This is a very Important lesson teaching about God’s perfect standard and man’s sin. It is about the purpose of the Law of God which many, many people do not understand.

Galatians 3:24-25 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Praise for:

• God’s rich blessings and provision.

• A wonderful time at the conference.

• Springtime.

• Resting in Him.

Pray for:

• Regular attendance at the Bible study.

• A believer’s full recovery and complete healing after recent surgery.

• Comfort for the grieving family.

• Rest and recovery from sickness.

• God to build His church in the area where they serve.
