Simon, Annika, Nya, Noah, Karis, Judah and Ethan Flanagan have lived in six different homes during a one-month period as they prepare to rerun to the Mengen in Papua New Guinea! This has been Simon and Annika’s life the past month: lots of travelling, moving, packing and unpacking. With five kids in tow, it adds another dimension! The kids have done really well overall, although they are struggling with all the change so they would appreciate your prayers for them to adjust.
They had two and a half weeks in Northern Ireland with their church and Simon’s family which was great! They managed to complete their visa medicals. They also had a few days out with the family which was great and gave them precious memories to take with them back to Papua New Guinea, until they can see them all again. Please do pray for family that they are saying goodbye to and leaving behind. It never gets any easier.
They are now in Edinburgh and settled for the time being in an apartment for which they are so thankful! They are spending time with the church while they wait for their visas and work permits to be granted! Please do pray for their visas to arrive speedily, there was a slight delay with the paperwork arriving in Papua New Guinea which has in turn pushed back their “intended” departure time. Pray that they would be patient as they wait on the Lord.
Simon and Annika are busy preparing for returning: ordering home school material, looking into insurance that will cover them all – especially Karis, finding tickets, taking meetings, and still trying to be as “normal” as possible for the kids’ sake and spend time with them. Below are a few prayer/praise points. Thank you so much for standing with them in prayer!

For Ethan’s health, some sores have developed on his skin. Pray the medication will take effect soon and it will clear up!
Pray that the Lord would provide the necessary tickets, visas and work permits to come through in a timely manner!
For provision of solar batteries. They need these to run everything in their house in PNG for life and ministry.
For a great time with church family in Edinburgh.
Pray for the Mengen church that God will protect and help them to grow spiritually.
