Scott and Natasha Flaugher and family are praising the Lord for the good things He is doing in Elsengg land in Asia-Pacific! They are excited to observe changes in the lives of some of the new believers.
Please pray for healing for the missionary team and the local people as several of them have infected wounds, and a weird flu bug is going around. However their friends are faithfully attending the Bible teaching; excited about the lessons that are now on the book of Acts. The focus has been on how God’s Spirit that came to dwell in the hearts of believers and how through their testimony many were added to the Church. Persecution came but it did not thwart God’s purposes. The Gospel went forth and many were saved! Now they see the need to share this Good News to others!
Recently, they watched the video on the Gospel of John with their friends; they really were upset by those that opposed Jesus. He has clearly become the hero of these new believers!
The Elsengg believers are beginning to express thankfulness, an idea that was foreign to them while they were lost.
At the end of a recent class a man publicly testified that he believes the message of the Gospel taught from God’s Word. He practically gave a verbatim Joshua statement, “Choose this day whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Even though he has not heard those verses in Joshus yet!) Praise the Lord!
Funding for Kulumi listening devices surpassed the goal for buying ten more devices, so they are purchasing thirty devices and have additional funds to use towards printing and laminating literacy materials for the Elsengg people! Praise the Lord! They have already received a request for a number of these devices from those who chose not to attend the teaching. Pray that all who receive these Kulumis will listen with open hearts and minds to receive God’s truth and that it will bear eternal fruit in their lives.
