Nearly wrapped up

From nearly wrapping up the translation of the Iski New Testament, to measurable growth happening in a new church plant, to some significant hurdles and challenges they are currently facing Jason and Nisae Williamson recently reported that there’s quite a lot going on in the Iski church in Papua New Guinea these days!

Jason and Nisae recently had the opportunity to spend a month back in PNG doing some teaching and translation work and enjoying much-needed face-to-face time with the Iski leadership team in the village.

Pray for Tanka, an Iski Elder, who has been faithfully walking with the Lord ever since he first heard the Gospel. Tanka is facing extreme pressure from his family because he refuses to promote clan rituals etc. He has “stepped down as an elder for the time being” but will continue serving the church. “Pray for continued faithfulness and strength for Tanka” – both spiritually and physically. Pray his family would stop focusing on appeasing spirits or gaining material wealth and would instead turn to the Lord.

“Even with my old and tired legs, I will not stop doing God’s work. I’m thinking about the good thing God has for me in heaven, and I’m hanging my thoughts on that.” – Tanka

Thank you for prayers that enable Jason and Nisae to help equip and further train brothers and sisters in Iski. As one of the leaders said, “Through your prayers we are connected with you and will one day see your faces in heaven.”
