Jonathan and Rachel Willcock’s journey to Bolivia took about twenty-seven hours, and then four hours after arriving at their destination Jonathan started teaching. The trip included teaching at the mission institute in Santa Cruz, meeting with and offering support to mission leaders and travel interior where there is a more remote missionary training institute for indigenous believers.
With only a month in the country it was good that they could start teaching straight away despite feeling rather tired for the first few days.
They enjoyed meals and fellowship with many different people including staff and students both in Santa Cruz and in San Lorenzo. They were able to offer support and encouragement to both staff and students, who in turn were an encouragement to them. It was also wonderful for Jonathan and Rachel to see how well the indigenous students are growing in their understanding of Scripture. They saw some of the people that could barely read at all two years ago, reading the Bible with confidence and participating in class discussions with enthusiasm.
Please continue to pray for the work of the training centres in Bolivia.
Pray for Jonathan and Rachel as they continue their itinerant ministry throughout Latin America.
Thank you for your prayers.
