Adrian and Evelyn Jotter and family serve in the Philippines and have just moved into a village location.
They are thankful for:
A great week of construction work in the village as a family at the beginning of November.
The Phillips family who moved into the village in mid-November and now have running hot water in their house.
All that has been accomplished on their house and they moved in this week.
Continued unity in decision-making as a team.
Their kids’ schooling which is going well and continued while everything is being prepared for the upcoming move – this would not be possible without the help of their home school helper!
Adrian being able to accomplish a lot at the house and that his wrist and back are doing well.
The various forms of help that their fellow missionaries are extending to them during this time.
Pray for:
Wisdom and unity in their marriage and parenting, especially during this stressful transition – and that they can lovingly respond to their children’s needs.
Good prioritisation and continued progress in completing the house and the school teacher’s house – even after the move, the house building phase isn’t over yet.
Wisdom in how to spend their time and energy with sufficient times of rest to persevere long term and avoid burnout.
Wisdom and unity as a team regarding the many details of life in the village and how to handle things that need to be considered.
For patience from and with everyone, as they will likely have to cope with chaos for a few weeks before everything is set up and it feels like ‘home’.
That they all stay healthy and have the necessary energy for the coming weeks.
For a wonderful Christmas season despite all that is going on.
For good relationships with the people in the village, and that everyone including women and children can make a good start to connect with the local people.
For suitable language helpers from the village
