Phil and Elin Henderson hearts are ever ‘thankful’ for all God has done in healing Elin and all that He has been teaching them. This month they plan to spend time with family, friends and supporting churches in Florida. From there, they hope to head west to California to spend January to March with a supporting church in the San Diego area. Praise God for strength as they packed up their apartment and travelled safely to Florida. Pray for good times with friends, family and churches while in Florida and that Elias will be able to return to school in Kenya for the final two terms of his senior year and Callie will continue to grow and mature in her faith during her time at Bible College.
Praise the Lord, the Scripture portions and lessons that Phil and Elin prepared have arrived in the villages and have been distributed. They spoke with a couple of the church leaders the day after the copies arrived and they said that they dove right into the lessons, excited to have something “new” to study. So far, it does not seem that COVID has arrived in that area, although the numbers in the province are growing.
They are praying and planning towards returning to Mozambique in late March, after Elin’s annual checkup. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding travel protocols, and a lot needs to fall into place for it to happen.
Please pray:
- That God will protect the health of the Mwinika people
- That His Word will continue to go forth and bear fruit in the lives of the hearers
- For the Bible teachers to be faithful in their preparation, and as they present the truths of the God’s Word in a clear way
- That God will open a door for Phil and Elin to return to Mozambique in March 2021
