Looking to join a team

NTM has been working in PNG since 1950 and have served in 78 different people groups. Eleven new people groups are ready and waiting for missionaries. Twelve other existing works/teams are waiting for more partners. Philip and Natalie hope to go to one of them.
In August and September Philip and Natalie contacted different people with the view to possible partnership. Also in their free time they helped out with different projects like working in the print shop (printing Bible portions, lessons etc. for different works.), teaching a young Christian lady, conference planning, subbing in the prison ministry and other little maintenance projects.
On the last weekend of August, Philip and Natalie made a trip into the Hamtai people group and attended the elders and deacons conference. Philip and Natalie were encouraged to see how the Lord is working among these believers. Also, it was helpful to see again some of the common struggles that churches have in Papua New Guinea.
In early October over 100 NTM Missionaries from PNG joined together for the annual conference and enjoyed encouragement, sharing and fellowship, fun, sports and of course good food. Philip and Natalie also had the privilege to host two couples. Pastor Giles from Nebraska challenged and encouraged them. Through the reports from all the different teams, it was amazing to see how God is working in all these remote places in PNG building HIS church.
Philip and Natalie continue to contact different missionaries about possibly working together among an isolated people group . Most of this has been long distance by email and phone. During October they finally got to meet up with many of the different ones they had contacted. Philip and Natalie spent one week in Madang and then twelve days in Wewak.
Most of the new missionaries already had plans, with no room for them to join their teams. Only one couple is considering possibly teaming up with them. Two more missionary families/couples are planning to arrive in February and only one of them is still looking for missionaries to partner with them in the work. Philip and Natalie would love to be part of a team and start working with an isolated people group soon, but nothing is clear right now. So, they continue to pray and wait on the Lord for guidance. In the meantime, they try to help with things where they can. For the rest of November they will be near Goroka helping with various needs. Then in December, Natalie will be helping with childcare during a translation workshop in Madang and Philip will be helping there with a building project and possibly some grounds maintenance. Philip and Natalie trust that the Lord will reveal what He has next for them in His good time.
