Liberia team

The Glarro team meetings in Monrovia were profitable. They were able to talk with leadership and plan their priorities, settling on what they should focus on and what can wait.

They will continue to work on getting Bible lessons and translated Bible portions into the hands of the people, both audio and hardcopy versions.

Aaron and Amy Speitelsbach returned to the village and took motorbike for the last 40km, because they knew that this stretch would be just about impassable in places. They plan to go back out by motorbike to a bigger town for the funeral of their friend who passed away three weeks ago. However, after the funeral they would like to drive their car back to the village with some supplies.

Before they left the village to go to Monrovia, Aaron had handed out some audio players with the first eleven recordings of the Bible lessons. They have been encouraged to hear that people were listening to the lessons and enjoying them. Some have not made use of them, but others who had not received a recorder and who had seen their friends listen to the recordings want to have a way to listen themselves.

Last weekend they were able to meet under the tree and teach another lesson. Although some of the regular attendees were not there, they still had a good group who were very much awake and interested. Thank you for your prayers. They are thankful for God’s Grace and His work in the lives of the Glarro people.

Praise the Lord for:

– The continuing interest of the Glarro people in God’s Word!

– Safe travels (despite minor car issues) and an encouraging leadership meeting.

Please pray:

– That they can make good, clear audio recordings of Bible lessons and Bible portions.

– For the preparation and teaching of the second cycle of Bible lessons, which are much more direct and have more applications than the first round.

– That through the difficulties and challenges they can find strength in trusting God.
