Recently, as John Moore prepared to share in a church near where he serves in Brazil, he was challenged by his language helper not to write out what he wanted to say in English but to prepare only in Portuguese. John felt quite nervous at the prospect and unsure about what to say.
He chose to share Ephesians 1:6, speaking about what it means to be accepted in the Beloved.
John has been learning to not be afraid to give things a shot, to trust in the Lord, to be a blessing, and not to be so concerned about the opinions of others or even his own opinions.
What he said seemed to go well. There were mistakes in his Portuguese, but it seemed to bless those listening.
Next week John has a break, and he may go away for a few days.
