Interest in baptism

Andy and Chrissy Shaub serve among the Awa people in Ecuador and are currently on home assignment in the USA. They tentatively plan to return this month. Pray for the process of getting negative Covid tests, and tickets back to Ecuador. They thank the Lord for His care for them during their time in the USA. He has blessed them with family, friends, and their home church. God has even given them a little time for the Awa discourse analysis in the middle of all their activity.

News from the Awa ministry in Ecuador is encouraging. Their co-workers say attendance at church services has increased, and a group of young people have expressed interest in baptism. Pray for true understanding and faith in God reflected in the courage to stand up and be counted among the few Awa believers. A tentative date has been set for the baptism mid-December, but always subject to change. Pray for their co-workers as they are shouldering the work alone in Andy and Chrissy’s absence.

Pray for wisdom for the timing of their return that best meets the needs of the work in Ecuador and the needs of their kids. Lee and Liana at the Ethnos Bible Institute, Elena at University finishing her Elementary Education degree and for Laura and Andrew and family as they are going ahead with their plans to move overseas, maybe by next March.
