He builds His church

The members of the Loron translation team have been busy preparing for a marathon five-week check starting in the middle of September. The Swiss Bible translation consultant, who has been working with them on the project, will be travelling to West Africa to help complete the final adjustments to the text of the Loron New Testament and also the glossary and footnotes etc.

Lord willing, the text will be ready to go to print by early next year. The next several months will be quite intense, and Paul and Marina Briggs would appreciate your prayers.

Praise the Lord for new Loron believers in a little village where Loron Bible teachers have been going through the foundational Bible teaching over the past months; quite a few have trusted Christ for salvation.

Also, praise the Lord for reports of several hundred Loron believers who are attending other evangelical churches in the region. Fifteen years ago, a few Loron believers that had doctrinal differences began evangelising in isolated unreached villages. Despite the break in fellowship contact remained and Bible and literacy teaching materials, and training was provided. Praise the Lord for what they have been doing in bringing the Gospel to the lost.

Thank you for your prayers for Marina. She has now completed the cardiac rehabilitation programme at their local hospital and is feeling very well. She has been referred by the clinic to another useful course at a nearby fitness centre.
