Graduations and celebrations

May has been a month of special celebrations for the David, Christine and Sarah Baxter.

The Baxters serve at NTM/Ethnos360’s mission school in Mexico, and this month Sarah graduated from high school! The activities started out with the graduation banquet where David was the guest speaker. The next day was the graduation ceremony. Sarah was salutatorian of her class (ranking second highest and delivering the salutatory!) David and Christine are very proud of her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her excel in the plans the Lord has for her future.

In August, Sarah will attend Bible College in California. She is super excited and David and Christine are very happy for her. She will be going to a retreat for missionaries’ kids in June. Please pray that afterwards she will be able to find a summer job. She also plans to take the written driving test and learn to drive in California.

There have been many other celebrations and graduations this month as well.

Fourteen students graduated from the national Bible Institute, a two-year programme. Four students graduated from the national missionary training programme, an additional two year course. Praise the Lord for these new co-workers who are planning to work among tribal groups in Mexico and in Panama.

A major praise and celebration was that Christine’s good friend’s, youngest son, was baptised this month! Please pray for his continued spiritual growth.

Christine also had the privilege of attending a bridal shower for a lady, who is marrying a Wounaan Indian man from Panama. They met when he started to attend the Bible school in Chihuahua. After he finishes the missions training, they plan to go to Panama to continue to minister to his tribe.

David, Christine and Sarah plan to travel to California early next month. They will be touring the college Sarah will be attending. Spending time with family and friends will be a great blessing! They are looking forward to connecting with many people in the area.

Abby will be graduating from North Cotes College, Bible course in the UK in July.
