God is good

Phil says, “Truthfully, even in troubled times, God is still so good to me. When I take my eyes off Him and see my challenges, it’s still true – God is so good to me. But in those times when I am reminded of it again, then my heart is full and my cup overflows. And once again I am in awe of this precious truth; He is so good to me!”
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind for the le Roux family as they spent some time in Manila with friends, got their new school year curriculum, did visa paperwork, fetched their friends and brought them to Agutaya. Phil ran a marathon, they attended a funeral, they got the equipment for the landing strip, the kids started a new school year and Phil severed his toe and got it stitched back on. What a busy but blessed time.
One of the highlights of this year for the le Roux family has been the visit of friends from South Africa. They had a wonderful two weeks of talking, laughing, fellowship, late nights, early mornings, long walks, tears and a very sad goodbye.
Phil and Vina are planning their home assignment in South Africa from June 2015. They have been waiting on the Lord for the finances to buy their plane tickets. In the last month they have seen the Lord’s amazing provision! They are so excited and can hardly wait to hold in their arms all those they have held in their hearts for so long. God is good!
A year ago, Phil would never have believed it possible that the equipment needed to make a landing strip would arrive in Agutaya. But the landing strip equipment has arrived. Phil is humbled and excited to see it all come together. The ground breaking was planned to start on Saturday 21 March. Thank you to all who have been praying for this project. Please continue to pray for God to be glorified.
Recently, Phil severed his toe between two pieces of bamboo while jumping off a boat. After much persuasion he agreed to have it stitched. They are so thankful that the toe is healing well. What a blessing that the little clinic nearby had all the equipment and that they were able to stitch it closed.
