Getting settled

Paul and Lesley McKnight are thankful for the prayers, support, and encouragement as they finished up their 21st year involved in missions, completed another year at the mission school and medical clinic at the NTM PNG headquarters and headed back to Northern Ireland with their three kids. It is certainly a new season for Callum after graduating from NCA and now starting Ulster University in Belfast and for Paul and Lesley as they see him entering adulthood.

They have had the opportunity to speak at some churches, join a few prayer groups around Northern Ireland as well as spending quality time with their home church. Please pray for upcoming meetings in in the next few weeks.

Hopefully soon, Paul will also be able to pick up some supply teaching work. They have been able to get plugged into ministry at their church recently, which is great!

One of the big reasons they are now back in NI for a wee while is to see Callum settled into university life. He seems to be enjoying it all and is starting to make friends through CU and elsewhere. Amy and Lydia are in years 9 and 13 at school and seem to be settling in well.

It has also been good for Paul and Lesley to be close to their parents and helping them with projects! They would appreciate prayer for good time management and knowing what is most important whilst home.

Prayer:

  • For Callum as he adjusts to life in Northern Ireland, university and work.
  • For Amy and Lydia as they settle into school and friendships.
  • For Amy as she tackles GCSE Mathematics and English alongside her three A-level courses.
  • That Paul’s (child protection DBS check) will come through quickly for the Dept of Education.
  • The critical need for teachers, doctors and other support staff in PNG.

Praise:

  • For a place at Ulster University in Belfast for Callum to study Mechatronic Engineering and that he was considered a Northern Irish home student.
  • For school places for Amy and Lydia, and budding friendships.
  • For a safe journey back to NI from PNG and for the opportunity to catch up with good friends from the mission field in the USA.
  • That they can live with Lesley’s mum and had two cars loaned to them for their time of home assignment.

Thank you for partnering with Paul and Lesley in helping to reach the people of PNG with the Good News.
