They started off in Cairo, Egypt and spent several days enjoying the historical sites. From there they travelled to Singapore and met up with their good friends and Mozambique co-workers, Anthony and Jenny Chee and their girls. They enjoyed visiting that incredible city (and enjoying it’s incredible food!). It was nice that they had friends to show them around.
Then they flew to Australia where they began two weeks of meetings. Phil was part of team working on a new curriculum called Eternity to Eternity. The kids and Elin were able to spend time with good friends in Brisbane. After that they jumped into a weekend conference for missionary candidates in Australia. Phil taught some sessions and
Elin was part of a panel discussion about women in ministry. They were encouraged to see people ready and willing to give their all for the Lord. They met lots of new friends and caught up with some old ones. The kids were happy hanging out and having fun with a group of friends their age.
Now that Phil and Elin have dropped their kids back at school in Africa they are continuing to travel in Asia over the next month.
Phil and Elin are thankful for this opportunity to travel as a family and see so much of the world together. Please pray:
• For safety as they continue their travels
• For a smooth transition back into school for the kids (the second term is notorious for being the most challenging for them)
• For the Mwinika believers in their absence – that they will stand strong and be faithful in studying the Word and looking to the Lord.
