En route to Papua New Guinea

Chris began his full-time Norwegian studies after a week of unpacking and shopping, and it is going well. He is using the techniques they learnt at North Cotes in combination with a Norwegian textbook. Having Ingrid’s mum and brother to help as native speakers two days each per week is a great blessing! Whilst Chris learns Norwegian, Ingrid is taking shifts at a local nursing home, but is still looking for more regular work. The job situation isn’t great in Bergen at the moment, so a more stable job for her is a big prayer request.

Looking back Chris and Ingrid are so thankful for the high quality training they were able to receive at North Cotes over the last few years! They also miss their Friday nights with the great group of Ignite kids! Chris had also been doing a Bible study with 11-13 year olds each Thursday, which he was very sad to leave behind.

Looking to the future Chris and Ingrid would like to go to Papua New Guinea. If everything goes according to plan, they will head out in January 2018, i.e. in one and a half years, spending the last half year in Liverpool with Chris’ home church and family.

They are both excited and a bit nervous about what lies ahead of them, but they find it wonderful to know Him who knows everything, and who is able to use ordinary people who choose to trust Him!
