Getting to know other believers and to see their love for the Lord has been very encouraging for Barnabas and Tabea as they have visited a few different churches and shared about their future plans and God’s work in Mexico.
Tabea applied for UK “settled status” at the beginning of September – it is needed for her to be able to apply for citizenship. The application for citizenship is filled in and ready to be sent off but they just have to be patient and wait. They were not expecting this to take so long. After being in touch with NTM Mexico and considering various factors, they have now decided to postpone their departure until July. They pray that God will move things along in His perfect timing and that they will trust Him in the waiting and find joy in it.
Their daughter had her first birthday last month! She is a real gift from the Lord, and they are thankful to be her parents, watching her taking her first steps and babbling away. They were also able to enjoy a week’s break in Yorkshire.
Tabea has started sorting through their belongings trying to decide what to keep and what needs to find a new home. Barnabas continues to be busy with preaching, studies, student ministry and discipleship.
Praise points
For the churches who have invited them to share about Mexico. It has s been a blessing for them to meet other Christians and talk about the needs in missions.
For a week away and celebrating their daughter’s first birthday!
For God’s continued faithfulness and provision.
Prayer points
For faithfulness and joy in the day-to-day things – big and small, especially in this time of waiting.
For the settled status to come through, and that the citizenship application etc., would all be sorted before next summer!
For their walk with the Lord, marriage, and wisdom and strength in their parenting journey.
Thank you for your prayers.
