Early stages

Hannah completed the missions course at North Cotes College in July and returned to Australia. It seemed no sense for her to stay in Australia for the next couple of years ‘spinning her wheels’, so to speak whilst waiting for the ‘magical’ moment when she really knows where God would have her serve long term.

So, Hannah wrote to New Tribes Mission in Papua New Guinea and asked if there were any needs/roles that she could fill for three years. Three years because Hannah believes God has her overseas long term serving Him, yet also only three years because that will give her time to discover where and with whom to then make a long term commitment.

Leadership in PNG wrote back to her and suggested a few support roles that she could help in, one they specifically mentioned is helping on the mission base where they run a six month orientation programme for new missionaries as they arrive and start to learn the national language and culture. She could help out administratively in the office, as well as hostessing/guesthouse organising, and probably a dozen other odd jobs that need to be done to keep the place running. Hannah feels it would be an encouraging place to work, meeting new families coming to engage in a church planting ministry. Hannah would possibly go to PNG this July, or January 2018.

But everything is in early stages. God is completely in control and she is trusting that if this isn’t where He wants her to be, He will redirect her. Please pray for Hannah as she starts to make plans for serving overseas.
