Discipling

Although their schedule is not all figured out yet Bart and Emily Allen who recently left Papua New Guinea for home assignment in the USA plan on visiting some of their supporting churches including a missions conference in April.

In their absence from Amdu their teammates the Hattons will continue to disciple the maturing Amdu church as well as carry on with training and equipping the men who have faithfully offered themselves to learn how to teach God’s Word before they too go on home assignment. There will be a chunk of time when the missionary team is not physically on the ground in Amdu. Pray that the Lord will use this absence to grow and refine the believers and that it will be a great time for all of them to trust the Lord. They look forward to what God will do in and through them.

Pray for Bart and Emily and family as they adjust to life in a much colder climate and adapt to the culture, the transition doesn’t get any easier. They are looking forward to being together again as a family spending time with their two eldest children who reside in the USA, and for their son’s upcoming wedding.

Pray for wisdom and safety as they travel around and that their van (about 15 years old now) that they have used for the past couple of home assignments will continue to pass inspection and safely carry them to all the places they need to visit.

They will also be doing paperwork for renewing passports etc., helping with wedding preparations, and continuing to work on Bible translation.

Thank you for your prayers.
