The past few months have been quite busy for Robert and Nicole Westerveld who serve itinerantly among the Yagwoia people of Papua New Guinea. On their return from a recent visit to PNG there were several things to take care of that had piled up while they were away.
Robert also taught in churches on Sundays a couple of times and has resumed the weekly Bible studies via video call in two countries. With the two groups in one country, he is teaching the Chronological Bible Course from Genesis through the Gospels, and with a man in another land he is now going through the Epistle to the Ephesians.
He has been in regular contact with the Yagwoia Bible teachers. In Andakombi, they are going through books of the Old Testament during their Sunday services – they now have printed books with all the OT books that have been translated so far. It has been very dry in the tribe, pray that they will receive rain.
Robert has continued working on the Psalms, Proverbs, and Nehemiah for the Iwalaqamalje Old Testament. The Iwalaqamalje believers are already very happy with the chapters that have been translated from the Psalms and Proverbs and are looking forward to receiving those books in their language. For the Iqwaye New Testament, Robert is currently working on 2 Thessalonians, and for the Gwase New Testament, 1 Corinthians. Pray for wisdom from the Lord in all this translation work.
