Just a couple of days before the proposed time to go, they didn’t have the money; so Stephen told the family that they should plan on not going, but that they should pack as if we were because maybe God would provide.

God provided, so they drove to El Paso and took the bus to Chihuahua. They had a wonderful week with their friends and MK’s (Missionary Kid’s)that Stephen had grown up with! It was encouraging to see how God is working in Mexico and stirring up the Mexican church to reach the least reached ethnic groups around the world. Stephen, also got some good ideas as to how to help the missionary candidates in Colombia learn to use their time wisely and get accustomed to giving account of how they use it. Helena also enjoyed their time there. It helped the girl’s missionary vision too.

Pray that the Lord will be evident in their lives as they continue to visit and encourage those who stand with them in the task of reaching the unreached tribes.
Also pray for wisdom as they work with a VBS (vacation Bible school for kids) at the end of this month, and as they get organised for their return to Colombia early next month.

Pray for them as they settle back in to the college in Colombia. Classes start on the 31st of July.

One of the Colombian teachers who has been fighting cancer for two and a half years has had chemotherapy, but the cancer has spread. Recently she has had a hard time even with morphine. Please pray that God would strengthen her, and be glorified in her life.

Stephen and Helena were encouraged by pictures of the recent two weeks of discipleship that the missionaries had with the Guajibo people. While there, the Guajibo church commissioned a missionary with his wife to work with the Guajibo of the north. A Colombian church has provided for this couple to move, and will continue to help them reach the Guajibos. Also, pray for provision for a Colombian and a Guajibo man to go to the west jungle area of the Guajibo tribe to teach them how to teach Biblical foundations, as they want to reach others. Stephen and Helena are excited to see what God is doing.
