The last few months have been some of the most intense that Albert and Lynne Castelijn, who serve among the Banwaon people in the Philippines, have experienced. For almost two months, working six days a week, 8am to 5pm (or later) with intense focus – recording, re-recording, coaching, encouraging, checking, editing and checking again.
CELEBRATE with them the completion of the Banwaon New Testament Audio Recording!
Over 45 Banwaon people were involved in the recording. There was a wonderful spirit of excitement throughout the village. But, especially in the final week, with the heat bearing down and weariness a daily reality, Albert and Lynne knew without a doubt the only reason they were all getting through this was because of God’s help. People were praying!
The audio recording of the Banwaon New Testament is a major step forward as they head towards publishing the completed translation early in 2025.
So what’s next?
- Write the introductions to each New Testament book
- Complete the Glossary
- Complete the Index
- Prepare detailed typesetting in readiness for printing
Albert and Lynne are currently still in the Philippines but heading back to Australia by the end of the month. Albert can keep working on these things even out of the country, although he will probably need another brief trip back before the end of the year.
They thank you for praying from the bottom of their hearts.
For the glory of God alone.
