Burning hearts within

In June, Jan and Annette Wols who serve among the Lamogai people of Papua New Guinea, were able to get together with all their children and grandchildren in the Netherlands and belatedly celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary from December 2021.

Last week, an Ethnos360-Netherlands family day was held on their property, where they hosted many of the Dutch missionary families who are on home assignment, the people who are in training, and the home staff. It was great for them all to see each other again and share with – and encourage each other.

Jan and Annette are preparing for their return to PNG in November. They look back on some very good times, having their girls with their husbands and children with them. They still have meetings and presentations, to inform their Dutch supporters and they are working on their medical needs, in readiness for returning to the field. Jan recently had an operation to remove kidney stones. Praise the Lord, the operation was successful, and the recovery time is expected to be a couple of weeks.

Their co-workers in the USA continue to work on the Lamogai Bible translation. They are currently content checking the books Ecclesiastes and Jeremiah. Jan and Annette are so excited to see their team working towards the publication of the whole Lamogai Bible. They themselves have been so encouraged through Old Testament Scripture and soon it will be ready for the Lamogai people too. The team would appreciate your prayers for the last checking as they prepare it in readiness for printing.

The Lord is worthy. Thank you for being a part of the work through prayer. Jan and Annette count it a privilege to be involved with you in making this Good News available in Lamogai and other languages in Papua New Guinea.
