Building progress

Over the past few weeks, the road into the village where Adrian and Evelyn Jotter and their co-workers are building their houses has been good enough for them to take in quite a bit of building material. Construction is progressing well – the interior walls are mostly up; they are currently working on the electrics and are in talks with the solar company.

They are thankful:

For the strong support from Evelyn’s parents (her mum for just over three weeks, and her dad who is staying until the end of October to help with the construction).

For a wonderful and relaxing holiday with their co-worker Martha, and Evelyn’s parents.

For Noah and Sophia (a young couple from Germany), who are staying with them for three weeks helping where they can and gaining an insight into missions.
That after waiting longer than expected, the package with school materials arrived, and they were able to start the new school year (Melissa in 4th grade and Lukas in 2nd grade).

For the unity in decision making that they have been able to experience as a team.

That Martha was able to successfully complete her Visaya language and culture studies.

Pray:

Continually for wisdom and unity in their marriage and parenting. When Adrian is in the village communication is limited and this can be stressful.

They trust that God will lead them through the construction phase with healthy family relationships.

For their homeschooling assistant Madleen, who is starting her journey to them at the beginning of October. For her goodbyes, last preparations, her travels, and a smooth arrival in the Philippines.

For good progress in building their house and the smaller schoolteacher’s house, which has now started, and wisdom in all the many decisions.

For safety on the trips to the village – the road is continually getting worse.

For God’s guidance regarding the timing for them to move.

Further wisdom and unity for them as a team with co-workers Travis, Natasha, and Martha.

For good relationships with the people in the village.
