Jason and Nisae Williamson celebrated some major exciting family milestones; their son’s graduation in May and their daughter’s wedding earlier this month. They thank God for his faithfulness.
Recently Jason returned to Papua New Guinea for three weeks among the Iski people. Plans changed last minute and Nisae couldn’t join him on this trip.
While in the village, he hopes to:
1. Continue proofreading the Iski New Testament so that they can move forward with sending it to the printer. The final step before the Iski New Testament can be printed and distributed. He has a lot of to do, nearly three thousand verses to read over with the Iski translation helpers!
2. Encourage church leaders through teaching, discipleship, and counselling.
3. Help launch a new Bible teacher training programme. The programme is to help them to better identify future Bible teachers and provide a clearer pathway for training and equipping them for handling Scripture and teaching.
4. Address several ministry challenges that have surfaced in recent weeks.
One of his most urgent goals involves believers in an outreach church. Some believers there have become discouraged and are losing interest in gathering regularly. The enemy hates seeing God’s Word continue to transform areas that have long been under his influence. Poor testimonies from some older believers, combined with other outside pressures have contributed to discouragement and disinterest among some members of the church.
Please pray for wisdom as Jason seeks to address these issues and help the church leaders discern a healthy path forward. They desperately need God’s guidance during this season.
Another prayer request involves one of the church leaders who is currently facing some significant personal and family challenges. Please pray that God would grant wisdom, repentance where needed, restoration, and spiritual strength for everyone involved.
