Back in Southeast Asia

This summer in the USA has been a whirlwind for Richard, Wendy and their youngest daughter, but a good whirlwind. It started off with the privilege of seeing their son graduate from his two years studying the Bible at Ethnos360 Bible Institute (EBI). During the next school year, he will do an internship at EBI in the groundskeeping and maintenance department. The summer ended with them also taking one of their daughters to start her studies at EBI. It should be a big help for her to have her big brother there on campus as she adjusts to her first year of studying there. She already has several friends who are classmates and is really looking forward to this next phase of her life.

Richard and Wendy were also able to visit friends and relatives, share about their work in a number of churches, eat a lot of good food and enjoy the variety and beauty of God’s creation in the USA, (and part of a day at Niagara Falls, Canada). They have been so blessed by the generosity and hospitality of the many of you who they were able to meet up with.

They also had the privilege of teaching about missions in a Child Evangelism Fellowship day camp that they have been involved with since before they went to Southeast Asia. And they helped at a community Vacation Bible School programme that was hosted by their home church. Worshipping in their home church, reuniting with old friends, making new friends and seeing how God is working in the area of the USA that they call “home” was a good experience.

Wendy travelled on to Ireland to spend some time with her Mum and Aunt Betty. Their oldest daughter, having finished her internship doing childcare at the Bible school, joined her mother, to go see her Granny, and plans to settle down in Pennsylvania and get a job at the end of the summer.

Richard, Wendy and their youngest daughter are now reunited in their home in the village in Southeast Asia. Their co-workers had graciously cleaned the house that had been shut up whilst they were away, in preparation for their return. They love being part of a team!

Now, Richard and Wendy are picking up where they have left off with Bible teaching, both evangelistic and discipleship. They will also focus on moving forward with Bible translation. Their daughter will be starting high school (homeschool). Please pray for them as they get back into a routine and move forward with what God has for them.

Thank you for your continued prayers and partnership in this work.
