Praise the Lord with David and Christine Baxter that the start of the school year has gone well at the mission’s school in Mexico where they serve. There are some new teachers and students too. They are thankful that the adjustments have gone smoothly. Thank you for your continued prayers!
David is enjoying another year of teaching the Jr. High Bible class. Christine has the same group for the Earth Science class. They are also sponsors for their class parties. They are a fun group of kids!
Before his recent knee surgery David put his welding skills to work! This time helping with a facility in the south of the city geared toward reaching people from an indigenous group who have left their area in the mountains to look for work or to escape the violence. Pray for all the works reaching the indigenous groups for Christ. Besides doing maintenance, David has been involved in some Bible studies in English and in Spanish. He enjoys the preparation time and the participation!
Christine is teaching a high school Spanish class again, and has a variety of administrative duties, some which are new to her, it keeps her quite busy. Your prayers for all the staff and students are much appreciated. Pray that they may grow together in Christ over the school year. She has also been teaching science to the 5th and 6th grade temporarily; an energetic group with a lot of curiosity and good ideas!
It’s all about the people – coworkers and other friends! David and Christine are so thankful for the relationships they have within the mission and out in the community. For the past 18 years that they have been in Mexico, Christine has been running races together with a great friend and athlete. Please pray for her salvation.
Give praise for:
For the Spiritual Enrichment Week in the mountains with the Jr. and Sr. High. The staff from the Ethnos Bible Institute did a great job teaching on the life of David with the theme of “Becoming Men and Women after God’s Own Heart.” The kids enjoyed the teaching sessions and all the games the team came up with.
Safety and good health.
The opportunity for David to have knee surgery.
Please pray for:
Continued wisdom and safety for David and his maintenance team.
The church planting works among the indigenous people groups.
Safety for all missionaries in every location.
Continued spiritual growth.
God’s provision in their ministries.
For their lives to reflect Him in all they do.
A complete recovery for David after knee surgery.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
