God willing, in June, Christoph, Susanna and family will move 2,000 km northeast to serve on another island in Asia-Pacific. The mission team in that region is currently looking for a house for them to live in until they go on their first home assignment at the end of the year.
Moving to another island means they cannot simply load up a transporter and drive to their destination. For the next few weeks, they will be deciding what to take with them, packing it into boxes, and shipping anything that will not fit in their suitcases. They will be giving things away or selling them, meeting and saying goodbye to their friends and so on…
When everything gets too much for them, they can find refuge in HIM, their protective ROCK and safe FORTRESS, knowing that the LORD is with them, and has already been preparing everything for them!
Please pray for them as they prepare their children for this transition.
Once they have relocated, they will continue to learn the language and culture, which will be completely new, as there are different traditions and customs perhaps even different world views in the different regions. They are currently starting the fourth and final phase of their national language studies and hope that they will both reach the required language level before returning to Germany.
They are thankful…
… for a successful evaluation: for good progress in cultural and language learning.
… for their relationships with local people.
… that they have been given the green light to move.
… that the team in their new location is already looking for a house for them.
… that they can go to the beach as a family to get some peace and quiet before the chaos of moving begins.
Please pray with them…
… that they will continue to make good progress in language learning and reach the final required language level this year.
… for relationships and that they can be a good testimony for the Lord.
… that everything will work out with the move in a few months and that they will settle in well in the new region.
… that they can prepare their children well for the next step.
… for an apartment in Germany during their home assignment.
… that despite all the uncertainties, they will always cling to their Rock, Jesus Christ, and be changed more and more into His image.
Thank you for your prayers!
