A Lot is Happening

Adrian and Evelyn Jotter are thrilled that their church planting team is complete. The Lord has given the two families a team member who is gifted in Bible translation and wants to reach the same people group. It is wonderful how God has brought them together.

In October, a volunteer will join them to help with homeschooling their children for about ten months. They are extremely grateful for this support, especially during the initial period of learning language again.

They are thankful that their house has a roof on just in time before the rainy season begins in June.  The mission’s helicopter has already landed twice in the village where they will live – once so the pilots could assess the situation there and the second time because a landslide prevented their co-workers from visiting the village by car.

Pray for them and other missionaries as they attend the mission conference in Manila.

Praise for:

– The excellent progress with the house building so far and that both houses now have a roof.

– Their new co-worker who enriches the team and has Bible translation on her heart.

– The opportunity to buy a suitable car from other missionaries that they can use to drive all the way into the village.

– The mission’s helicopter and pilots who have been incredibly helpful to them over the past few weeks.

– The Visayan language helper who recently came to know Christ, they were asked to be “godparents” at the wedding.

– That Adrian has overcome the first phase of new culture stress.

–  An easier daily routine now their youngest can crawl and has his first tooth.

Pray for:

– For the house building: work will continue while they are at the conference.

– Pray that everything will go as planned and that the necessary materials will be delivered on time.

– Wisdom in raising their four children.

– The rest of the school year: after conference, they will still have three to four weeks of school left until the summer break.

– That their minds can be fully focused on the conference and that all missionaries, including the children, can be refreshed and recharged.

– For unity within their team on everything that needs to be fundamentally discussed in the coming months.
