An exciting project and significant step forward in the whole house construction process for Adrian and Evelyn Jotter and their co-workers in the Philippines has been the installation of a solar system. This new electrical system is all working great so far. Now they are at the stage of taking family trips to the hardware store to choose paint, doors and tiles etc.
In mid-October, Evelyn flew to Manila for a few days to meet their home school helper Madleen at the airport and accompany her during her initial orientation period in Manila. It was an intense, jam-packed few days. Meanwhile, the three oldest children had some extra time with their dad for a change, and everyone enjoyed it!
Earthquakes shook the Philippines in October. They felt a few of them quite strongly, but thankfully for them there was no major damage, and everyone is doing well.
This month they have celebrated their youngest son’s first birthday.
Madleen is settling in very well to family life and her role with helping with schooling. She is already a great asset. Her presence and taking over the schooling allow Evelyn to focus more on the younger children and all the practical preparations for the upcoming move. This is invaluable.
