A cry for more

Looking ahead to their return next month to minister among the ‘M’ people group in Mozambique, Phil and Elin Henderson know that they are going back into frontline battle spiritually. They need the prayers of their fellow believers to go before them, behind them and all around them.

Last month their colleague, Francois Hattingh, was able to visit the ‘M’ people and distribute many more copies of God’s Word, which were received with much gladness. All 300 copies have been distributed and there is a cry for more. They hope to do another big print very soon. Along with that, the audio Bibles have been made available and are being very gladly received.  What a blessing to see a passion and love for the Word of God among the ‘M’ people.

In North Carolina Phil and Elin had the great privilege to be part, yet again, of a week-long Missions Conference. They had multiple opportunities to share and were able to connect with many wonderful people with a deep love of missions.

After the conference they travelled to Papua New Guinea and have enjoyed getting to know the missionary and local community. Elin will be doing a four-week internship for her master’s in international health at the mission clinic on the support base in Goroka. Phil has taken trips interior and hopes to spend time among the ‘A’ people, where he grew up. He desires to encourage the church and reconnect with many friends who are like family to him.

Phil and Elin plan to travel to Tanzania for a field conference and look forward to hearing what God is doing in Tanzania and encouraging their teammates there.

After that, they travel back to Mozambique and into the village to once again be among the ‘M’ people they love. They are burdened by the many needs and recognise the need of prayer for discernment and strength. They will also attend the Mozambique field conference.

Praise the Lord:

• For the safety the Lord has given them throughout their travels

• For a blessed time at conference in North Carolina

• For the opportunity to serve in PNG

•  That Phil can visit his home among the ‘A’ once again

• For the Word of God becoming more accessible for the ‘M’ people

Pray:

• For the ‘M’ people to continue to seek the Lord and grow in grace and faith

• For God’s Word to penetrate hearts and lives

• For safety in travel

• For Elin to learn and serve well at the clinic in PNG over the next several weeks

• For safety and a blessed time in Tanzania with the team there
