Home assignment

Peter and Rachel Bittle and family, who serve in Asia-Pacific, recently returned to Northern Ireland for a period of home assignment. They have not spent an extended time in NI for three years! Pray for them as they share in church groups and have medical check-ups. Also pray for them to be rested and spiritually refreshed. They have just had a busy weekend attending and sharing at the ‘Make a Difference’ conference here at North Cotes.

Pray for their co-workers serving in various villages, learning language, translating the Bible, teaching and discipling. Pray for strong mature churches in these areas and that hearts would be open to hear and receive the truth.

Before they left Peter had been helping one of their co-workers who is moving into a new village among a huge people group that still has no Bible translation. She has served among this people group for approximately five years and recently had the opportunity to purchase a ‘house’.  It was very run down, and Peter has been helping her with the design, planning and building process.

Peter and Rachel are continuing to make some changes to the “Mission Home” where they serve, including an ensuite built onto one of the rooms, painting the whole building inside and outside.  They say that a little paint makes such a difference; and are so thankful how the Lord provides so they could make these little changes to modernise the “Mission Home”!

Sadly, one of the very few believers amongst the people group where Peter, Rachel and family live (Peter took him to a hospital a few months ago) was called home.
